ForgeLog BASE · COACH ROLLOUT · 17–18 AUG

What the client does, start to finish

This is the customer's half — told in the order a member actually lives it, from the moment the class ends to the moment the card is on their story. It runs forward only: every screen below comes after the one above it, and nothing goes back.

Refer by number. Five steps (1–5), and every screen carries its own number under it (3.2, 3.4…). Say the number — "step 3 is unclear", "3.5 needs a change" — and there is no need to screenshot anything.
1

The class ends — the workout is still on the screen, and so is the code

The member has just finished. The board they trained off is still up on the gym screen: every station, the work and rest times, the finisher, and the coach's name and handle across the top. In the bottom-right corner there is a code, and it has been sitting there the whole class.

You say one line: "Scan the code." That is the only thing a coach has to do.

1.1 The BASE class board on the gym screen: THE WORKS, ten stations, coached by Ari, with a code in the bottom-right corner
A real BASE board on the gym screen — THE WORKS, 9 August, coached by Ari, ten stations and the finisher. Captured as a full-screen photograph of the live board page on getforgelog.com at television size (1920×1080). The gym photograph behind the text is softened on this page only, because real members are in shot; on the gym screen it is sharp.
2

They point their phone camera at it

Nothing is handed out, nothing is typed, nothing is downloaded. They open the camera they already have, point it at the corner of the screen, and tap the link that pops up.

Each class has its own code, so whatever they scan is that day's workout — never yesterday's.

2.1 Close-up of the SCAN FOR your workout code in the corner of the class board
The corner of screen 1.1, close up: "SCAN FOR your workout". Captured from the same live board page, cropped to the bottom-right corner at full resolution. This is a working code — a phone camera pointed at it opens screen 3.1.

The phone camera is the whole tool. No app store, no password, no sign-up.

3

The page opens, they tap their name — and their cards are already there

A page opens with the gym's name on it and one question: who are you? They type the first few letters of their first name, their own name comes back, and they tap it. That is the whole sign-in.

No list of names is ever shown, and only people booked into that class can be found. The phone remembers them afterwards, so every class after this one is a scan and nothing else.

3.1 Phone screen: Nice work today. Find your name. With an empty search box.
What opens: "Nice work today. Find your name." The live page behind the code in 2.1, opened at phone size (390×844).
3.2 Phone screen: after typing a few letters, one result row appears reading that's you — tap to check in. The name itself is blurred.
A few letters typed, and their own name comes back — "that's you — tap to check in". One tap and they are in. A live BASE class, with letters really typed into the real search box. The name that came back is a real member's, so the typed letters, the initials and the name are blurred here — on their phone they see their own name in full.
3.3 Phone screen: we can't find that name in today's class, with a Check the class list again button
If nothing comes back, the screen tells them what to do rather than leaving them stuck. The same live page, with letters typed that match nobody in that class.

Worth saying out loud: this is why a member's streak, their attendance and their training history exist at all. One tap, once, and the gym knows them from then on.

That tap does not take them anywhere else — the cards come up on the same run of the same page. They are not given one card either: they are offered a choice, and only the ones they have actually earned. The rarest one is shown first, and the strip along the bottom lets them tap straight to any of the others.

There are three: their streak, who they trained with, and the class itself. A member with no streak and nobody to pair with simply gets the class card, and the picker is not there — nothing is ever shown that they did not earn.

3.4 Phone screen: the sticker picker with the streak card selected — 16 weeks in a row — and a three-thumbnail strip below it
The streak card. "16 weeks in a row · every week since Apr 13." It leads because it is the rarest of the three — but only once the run is long enough to be worth bragging about. The real built picker screen, with the real produced cards in it. The member's first name on the card is blurred on this page.
3.5 Phone screen: the picker with the trained-together card selected — 3 classes, side by side
Trained together. "3 classes, side by side", with the coach credited underneath. This is the one that gets two people posting the same class. Same screen, second option selected. Both members' names on the card are blurred here.
3.6 Phone screen: the picker with the class card selected — BASE HYROX, every station, coached by Ari
The class card. The workout they just did, station by station, with "Coached by Ari · @apsavolainen" on it. Everyone in the room gets this one. Same screen, third option selected.

The picker is what makes this worth two minutes of a coach's breath at the end of class. "Grab your sticker" is a better line than "scan the code", because there is something to choose.

4

They put their own photo behind it — then post

Tapping the card opens the camera, and their photo goes behind the card. They can pinch and drag it until it looks right. If they would rather not, "Post without a photo" is there and always has been — the plain card is a real answer, not a failure.

Above the buttons, one line: "Remember to tag your coach @apsavolainen." That is the line that turns a member's post into a lead for the coach who ran the class.

4.1 Close-up of the bottom of the picker: Remember to tag your coach at apsavolainen, Take your photo, Choose from library, Post without a photo
The bottom of screen 3.6, close up: the tag reminder, then Take your photo, Choose from library, and Post without a photo. A zoom into the lower half of the same live screen — no separate page and no extra tap; it is all on the one screen they are already looking at.

The coach handle is the coach's own, not the gym's. Whoever ran the class is the one who gets tagged.

5

It lands on their story — this is what it looks like

These are not drawings. Every card below was made by a real BASE client at the end of a real class, posted to their own story, and reshared on Ari's account. Their friends see the gym's mark, the workout they just did, and the coach's handle — tappable.

That is the point of the whole flow. One class, run exactly as normal, and the gym ends the hour with its name on however many stories that class produced.

5.1 A real posted story: Base Hyrox, 1 July, coached by Ari, seven stations, over a client's own group photo
Base Hyrox, 1 July — a group photo behind the workout.
5.2 A real posted story: a BaseBuild class card over a client's own gym photo
BaseBuild, 6 July.
5.3 A real posted story: a Base Hyrox class card over a client's own gym photo
Base Hyrox, 4 July.
5.4 A real posted story from a personal-training session: a three-round circuit card over a photo of the client carrying a sandbag
And the same thing from a one-to-one session — three rounds, every load, the client's handle on it. This one is older: it still shows the green "EARNED" stamp in the corner. That stamp has since been removed from the product — new cards do not have it.

Five steps. The only one a coach performs is step 1 — put the board on the screen and run the class. Everything from step 2 onwards is the member.
